Our Story

R+E is a family affair.

R+E stands for Riley and Ethan, the two children of founders John and Angeli. They partnered up with close friends, Pamela and Rika, to collaborate and grow a business with a shared vision.

Our vision is to create traditional children's clothing with elegant craftsmanship that makes you smile and raises a sense of nostalgia. Having worn hand-smocked clothing that was specially selected or custom-made by our grandmothers and mothers inspired us to share that same experience with the next generation. 

R+E was dreamed to existence to curate and prioritize the traditional technique of smocking in children's clothing. These handmade pieces can hold on its own through generations without becoming old-fashioned and remain a timeless classic.

Smocking is an art used to create design, eye-catching texture and flexibility in fabric. At R+E, we personally select the clothes and accessories, which are made out of the best materials.
